delays that the judge as granted. the two suspects will be back in court later this month. the vigil will be 6:30 to 8:30 tonight in san jose at frost elementary school. >> a man suspected of killing his wife, 50-year-old troy vicenzo and she was found dead in the entryway of this home. someone called 911 and hung up. they told us when officers arrived on the scene, they found patricia on the ground and they are not revealing the cause of death at this point. patricia's mother and nephew with other family members showed up to try to figure out what happened. troy and patricia had been married for 27 years and the family said they were going through marital trouble, but nothing they thought would lead to this. >> just turn yourself in and make it easier on yourself and

everyone else. give us a reason on why any of us deserve this, especially patricia. >> he may be driving a gray pickup truck with this license plate number. 8 l 70015. here's what troy looks like. if you think you have seen him or that pickup truck, give san jose police a call. a third person is now charged for vandal eying a muni bus the night the giants won the world series. he is the latest man to be charged with felony vandalism. police are still looking for more suspects. this happened back on october 29th. new this morning, rallying to end police brutality against officer-involved shootings in the bay area.

demonstrators are expected to gather at noon. the march is organized by justice for alan blueford in may. he was justified in shooting the 18-year-old. the family disagrees. today's march begins at noon. this morning we know more about the affair that led to cia director david petraeus's resignation. a probe uncovered this affair with the biographer, paula broad well, a married college graduate who wrote all in. they are investigating her for trying to access petraeus's e-mail and getting access to classified information. petraeus himself is not under investigation. he resigned yesterday citing the affair. he has been married for 37 years. days after the presidential election, they will review a key

part of the voting rights act. they agree to hear a challenge to the part of the landmark act that requires 16 states with a history of discrimination in voting to get federal approval before making any changes in the way they hold elections. the justices say they will look at whether that provision is outdated and unfair since the voting rights act was put in place more than 40 years ago. this morning american airlines pilots are a step closer to finally having a new labor agreement. they reached an agreement in principal for a new contract with the airline. the union's board must sign off and present it to pilots for a ratification vote. american airlines filed for chapter 11 protection and could lead them out of bankruptcy. there still few details, but pilots were said to insist on no more layoffs. pilots have been without a contract for close to a year. thanksgiving is coming early

to one east bay city. thousands of richmond residents are expected to gather to share a holiday meal. the city is hosting the every day is a day of thanksgiving event. it starts at the hill top church of christ on hill top mall road. it provides free clothing, food, and house old items to people regardless of their economic situation. they used their own resources to took a thanksgiving dinner with the fixings with turkey, ham, and macaroni and choose and cake and cookies for those who want to share with people in their community. still ahead, snow in the sierra raising hopes for snowboarders and skiers. which resort is expected to reopen today. a surprise by what was in the water right next to surfers. good morning! wow.

. >> good morning and looking live at one of the contraptions that will attempt to take flight at the contest out by mccovey cove. they are hoping to get air underneath them and hopefully not land in the water. speaking of water, an eerie video with and a close encounter with a great white shark off the coastline in santa cruz. a shark about 14 feet long circling a small fishing boat in monterey bay last sunday. nearby some of the world's best surfers in the world were competing in the cold water classic. the shark circled them about 20 times. no injuries, but certainly a lifetime story. monterey county officials are warning people not to swim in county beaches because of dangerous levels of bacteria. county officials issued the advisory yesterday and said storm drain run off from recent rains may contain viruses or

chemicals that make people sick. a close call for a woman who was rescued after falling into a river. she was clinging to rocks near the whirlpool rapids downstream from niagara falls. rescuers carried her to a sheriff's helicopter and taken to a hospital. she is expected to be okay. the waters have to be freezing. still ahead on today in the bay, she thought her disability might stifle her dreams, but she didn't give up. she is not letting a wheelchair stop her from anything. >> here's a view from san bruno mountain. boupsing around a little bit as the winds pick up. a chance of showers and a whole lot of snow flying in the sierra. a look at both when we come back.

looking live at one of the cameras. you can see downtown in the distance that takes up the whole picture. it was a very chilly start this morning. rob has a look at the weekend forecast. if you are going to start a fire in the fireplace, make sure the vent is open. >> a lot of folks may be trying to do that. it is chilly. you saw the clouds and that's the reason why we are at least 42 degrees. that acts like a blanket. where skies have cleared, you are down to 30 degrees in santa rows a. frost through 8:00 and 35 in fairfield. san francisco and oakland not too bad. wind off the water and temperatures are not too cold. west of 12, not much wind and the afternoon you will see northwest winds picking up. radar view will take you down to the santa cruz mountains and showers around the grade earlier

this morning and close to mt. hamilton. see the chances of showers along the coast and some of the hilltops in the north bay into the afternoon, but things quieting down. not quite yet. chain controls from baxter to truckee and pollack pines over to meyers. snow around yosemite too. we have this trough that is starting to exit the bay area and lingering showers possible, but transitioning to the drier forecast through the weekend, but as the rain moves on, you will have chilly temperatures inland and upper 50s to near 60 and high pressure builds in tomorrow into monday, more of the numbers getting back to the 60s's we wrap up the weekend. this morning you have the partly cloudy skies and watch what the rpm model here is analyzing. you see that between 4:00 and 5:00, there may be enough

instability to fire off convective fires. once the sunsets, showers shut down and we will have a chilly night. the sierra will be adding three inches or so. boreal now at about 1 1/2 feet of new snow. we will see how it impacks that resort in a moment. upper 50s for the bay area. most places today is one big microclimate. mid 50s to near 60s. 56 degrees. as you wrap up veteran's day, warm things up a little bit and the warmest day of the week will be tuesday and then the next chance of rain, let's arrive around wednesday into thursday. not perhaps as strong as a system that we saw this week, but warmer towards the middle of the week. for now, you will be with a jacket throughout the day both for the stanford and the cal game, hosting the oregon schools. might be 40s.

>> angel of course can't participate in all the stuff, but knows her cheers and loves her team. >> they are awesome. >> the coach is is a mazed every time angel needs a push, it's a different girl there to help. not 1 to shy away from the spotlight, angel embraces the idea that she is a role model and there may be a 5-year-old in a wheelchair watching her and learning that a dream no matter how unlikely to a little kid can be a reality for a brave young woman. >> angel had roughly a dozen surgeries at children's hospital in her lifetime. they get a lot of credit for her being physically able to do what she wants to do. if you have an inspiring story,

this one in mountain view and this in sunnyvale. it's simple. they copy the keys and install skimmers wherever they can. there is a quick fix according to the cops. if gas station owners change the locks, they can lock out the crooks. >> they are not taking the steps to protect their customers. >> they are refusing to change the locks? >> one of the stations is this one. they advise the owner to change his locks after they found two blue tooth skimmers in his pumps. he didn't. police say weeks later they found two more skimmers here. they don't know how many people had their credit card information stolen. >> i'm vick we nbc. >> we asked the owner for an interview and he didn't call us back. we met up with him at the station. >> police tell us they uncovered four skimmers at the gas station. you could change the locks to protect your customers' information. can you talk to us about why you

haven't changed the locks. >> he didn't want to answer our questions. >> can i give you my card? >> no. >> he said he has ordered new locks and doesn't know when they will arrive. >> it's a concern our customers will be cheated out of money so if we do something, by all means we will. >> the owner said 6,000 cars pass through here every day. he said he changed his locks immediately after police fount the blue tooth skimmer in one of the pumps last month. >> that's crazy. all over the country and two keys to open every pump. >> for costs about $1,000 to get new locks. the cost can be a deterrent to owners, but cheaper options could also stop skimmers like this security tape that show when is a pump has been tampered with. many will cover the cost of fraught, the costs get passed along in the form of higher interest rates, making it a

game, 50s. as we head to the afternoon, upper 50s to 60s and cal bears hosting oregon towards 7:00 at night. now you are seeing chilly temperatures and mid 40s this evening. another frosty night and how long the temperatures will be part of the forecast in a few minutes. >> the head of the cia shows poor item as he resigns from the post. general david petraeus admits to an extra matter at affair with his photographer who wrote the book all in, the education of general david petraeus. the fbi is investigating broad well for trying to access petraeus's e-mail and gaining access to classified information. petraeus himself is not under investigation. he resigned earlier today, citing that affair. he has been married for 37 years. we are also learning michael morely served as a deputy will

appear in court later this month and no word on when the trial might begin. new this morning, rallying to end police brutality. people will take to the streets to march against recent officer-involved shootings. demonstrators are expected to gather near 14th and broadway and organized by justice for alan blueford who was shot and killed by police officer miguel masso in a confrontation in may. the district attorney's office said he was justified in shooting the 18-year-old. the family disputes that. today's march begins at noon. and now a story that will have you saying how could somebody do that? menlo park police are looking for the thiefs that swiped a minivan and suv specifically outfitted for a woman who uses them to get around in her wheelchair. this is a picture of one of the vehicles. an suv with a wheelchair lift

attached to the back. the other say dodge grand caravan and also has a wheelchair lift. she relies on both of the vehicles to get around. if you spot one of them or both, menlo police would like to hear from you. >> cash-strapped schools on the peninsula could lose thousands in fund-raising money because of a grinch who stole signs. they serve as advertisements for a fund-raiser. money bear trees donates 15% of the proceeds to 45 local schools. hours after the signs were hung at seven schools in redwood city, the signs vanished. they raised more than $30,000 for the schools in recent years. that money pays for arts and other programs that the schools cannot afford. >> the schools need the money at this time with all the budget cuts and fund-raising as a way it builds community as well.

this puts a damper on it. >> another sign company came forward to offer to donate replacement banners. they are investigating and so far no arrests have been made. new this morning, vietnam veterans in the south bay will break ground today on a memorial in honor of the men who did not return home. the vietnam war memorial will have the names of 142 men killed in action. the monument is located in the park across from hp pavilion. >> it's going to be a serene and tranquil place for people to reflect. >> organizers used private money for the project and they are still raising funds to pay for other bills and the upkeep. the city said veterans of other wars can build memorials on the same plot of land. also new this morning, civil rights leader jesse jackson will stop by san francisco today. the reverend will take part in this weekend's green festival.

it is the largest environmental gathering in the u.s. more than 150 speakers will talk about the commitment to sustainability. the green festival will be held at san francisco's concourse exhibition center starting at 10:00 this morning. it continues on until tomorrow. it is a very rare tie. a candidate for city council is learning that every vote really does count. the race will likely be decided by a coin toss, but it could have been decided by his wife who did not vote. his wife works at night and sleeps during the day and takes care of children. she woke up a few minutes before the polls close and asked if she should go vote and he said he didn't think one vote would matter. the big stars are getting ready

the coastal range and the great. a few showers and a few more along the coastline. sierra continues to see the snow. we have been watching the chain controls from baxter to truckee and pollack pines down in the sierra foothills towards meyers. plan on winter-like driving and yosemite seeing snow across the higher peaks in the central and southern sierra. the cold trough taking most of the moisture off by sundown. that will shut down the shower, but even with the sunshine, cool temperatures inland. upper 50s to near 60. tomorrow we will see a few more low to mid 60s and temperatures continue to warm up as we wrap up veteran's day weekend. patchy clouds at times during the day and cool temperatures. one yafr to watch might be up in the coastal range. isolated shower or two and everything shuts down by tonight. temperatures start to drop in the sierra.

two or three more inches of snow. the chain controls will likely stay up through early afternoon. for the east side of lake tahoe, they have a lake effect snow advisory and warning for the east shore this morning. 58 degrees and san jose closer to 60. a cool day even with the sunshine. it's like one big microclimate. mid- to upper 50s and mid 50s towards santa rosa. a cold start to the morning. temperatures will start to warm up a little bit more and showers will be done as sundown tonight. monday and tuesday will be the warmest days. the next chance of rain on wednesday. another fairly cold system and not nearly as cold as this 1 that drops snow. this one will come in through wednesday night and thursday and a few more showers and temperatures moderating some as we head towards the middle of the week. tonight looks like a frosty night. >> thank you very much, rob.

black friday now begins on thursday. wal-mart announcing that the sale will start at 8:00 thanksgiving night. that's even before the pie hits the table. two hours earlier than last year. sears, macy's, best buy and kohl's. they are betting big that the next big thing will help fund the futer. here's scott budman with more on google ventures. >> google has been one of the tech investments and now the company famous for its search and stock is ramping up their own search for the next great investments. >> it's a validation point. >> the managing partner of google venture, the investment arm that is running the fund that totals $300 million a year. we found him at the founder's and ceo event where people meet

some high flying dare devils are swooping in for a landing today and one of them, our own bob redell. he helped kickoff the flying effect and sunday contrappings off the bard where they are more likely than not to plunge than fly. the trolley car, the result is as bad as you might expect. at least his helmet stayed on.

a live look at covey cove where folks are getting ready for another big day of high flying dare devils. our photographer there on the scene said there is one that is each made from scratch from the oracle boat that did not make it. this weekend is a good time to head to a national park in honor of veteran's day. admission is free to all national parks through monday. it has been observed since 2006. this will be the last fee-free event of the year. the next one is martin luther king,jr. holiday in mid-january. we have a special guest from pets in need. we have rosie. i am not making eye contact because she is way too cute. an interesting dachshund. >> she is. she is probably not pure bred, but darn close.
